MAAGP — Magazine Altijd Alles Goed Pexos (Always Everything Good Pexos)
Concept MAAGP is a visually led, ultra-short-text magazine aimed at the Netherlands and Belgium. It playfully positions Boekel as a “technological capital,” using art and micro-copy to poke, provoke, and exchange ideas.
Themes Graffiti • Weapons • Drugs • Food & Drink • Sex • Bowel Movements (yes, we go there—sensory, social, and taboo, framed as culture, not glorification).
Positioning & Audience Geared toward Social Sciences and Communication Sciences circles in Nijmegen; conceived as a counterpoint to Amsterdam’s MUG Magazine for welfare recipients—same spirit of exchange, different lens.
Maker & Dedication Created by Wadim Seminsky. Dedicated to Daan Ekkel and Kanita Memic.
Collaborations (aspirational) Extrapool • WORM • Music Traveler • Poppencast (Peter van Asselt).
Format & Style
Primarily drawings; room for photos and screenshots.
Texts are extremely short—headline-tight, haiku-brief.
Two guest editors every issue.
Production Generated from Golang templates with art from Pexos (1,000+ drawings in the archive). Output is designed for clean PDF/print.
Targets & Roadmap
Circulation goal: 2,000 copies by the 30th edition.
Issue 15 launches the MAAGP app.
Tone Clever, unvarnished, forward-looking—art first, words sparingly, eyebrows raised.
